Sorta self-caricature?

It started as a random face and when it kinda started looking llike me, I decided to take it all the way (well, most of it) there.

It took me three Craig Ferguson's Late Late Shows and one Stephen King interview to get to this point. Painting is a good getawaynow that I'm not sleeping well, with a ton of work and have a constant ulcer. Arhg.

I should publicize my Fb fan page! Here you go, this is my Daniel Walker's Illustration FB page thingy in case you wanna get in there and press the "Like" button.

I might continue the caricature in the future. Or, as history has already proven, I might not.

Have a good one dear people! Love you all!!

(Unfinished) Sketches

Yep, is been a while... not having internet and a scanner really plays against my blog updating. Oh well!
Here, some drawings from my sketchbook!

Old guy sitting on a bunch of fish... which is related to a drawing that I gave to my super friend Micheelsen over ten years ago!

I wanted to draw a guy that looked kinda pathetic... but could still kick my ass. So here you have a big headed knight.

A working class demon. They exist, you know?

I love fighting games! I was thinking of a how a super robotics nerd would take on a big guy, and here you go! I had read not too long ago that Dr. Octopus had names for his four tentacles, and I kinda liked that, so I named the boxing gloves too: Paf, Bam, Boom and Ka-Boom! In that order!

Caricatures of people from when I visited Vancouver. Except for Lion-O, of course (he doesn't live there) who's really passionately screaming THUNDER.

Sketches and faces. The asian guy at the lower left corner is from a MUNI ride.

Basketball player, directly influence by Feerik. Check his stuff. I wanna be like him when I grow up.

 Unfinished sketch of inmates.

This one is missing one drawing that I haven't done yet. While listening to some Dubstep, right before the drop. You know, the BWOOOBWOOOBWOOOBWOOOW!!!!!!

Look at that! An update!!

Have a good day earthlings! I'm going back to work.

Cheers!

My little brother is getting married!

I'm cheating a bit with that statement, since I'm the oldest one of six... so technically they're all my little brothers and sisters, but what the hell, He's getting married!!

I designed and illustrated their wedding invitation, and it was actually super fun! I love them both so much, so at the beginning I thought it would be hard to turn them into a nice looking caricature... but they're both good-looking, so all I had to do is follow references and don't screw it up.

Tati is a chemist and my brother is a musician. Dirty Barry is with them also messing around... There are some minor details that I wanted to put in, such as the Gibson Les Paul, which is my favorite guitar model and is also the first electric guitar me and my brother held in our hands 'cause my dad owned one. It wasn't this color though (it was a cool looking black design with a white edge), I decided to change it for the illustration's sake.

The chord that Tati is making is also the essential chord for my band Renacimiento Mortuorio, my precarious metal band, and our singles "Demencia" and "Depresión" (without that chord the band would not exist). Why is this inside my brother's wedding invitation? Well, he and Tati are huge fans of my music (and they really shouldn't be), I played Depresión many times at the place they met, to the people surrounding the bonfire in Trailanqui, and also... I dunno, it made laugh!

The following drawings and sketches are some little surprises I put inside.

I will have some of my super best friends at the wedding party and some fun music, I'll be in Chile for a week and I don't know, it will be awesome!!!!!!! I'm just super super excited for everything =)

See you soon friends! Happy wedding dear Tati and Andrés!!!! This will be AWESOME!!!

Have a good one people of the world!!!

Old Lady

I drew this while joining a couple of girl friends at her working session. It was chick flick night, Titanic was on, and I started drawing this old lady.

You should check their work! Ana and Chibi. Two of the coolest people I've met here in San Francisco. They have some really nice work.

Later!

Flash caricatures

Me acabo de dar cuenta que no había subido éstas! Caricaturas de pocos segundos en papeles que tenía tirados por ahí y que no quería botar, con un mega plumón!

----

I just realized I hadn't posted this here yet! These are real fast doodle-caricatures I did on paper sheets that where lying around that I didn't wanted to throw away and a big ass sharpie!

Salút!!
